Best practices/disciplines that set a young therapist up for longterm success? Both clinical and personal success!

I graduate soon and want to become a great counselor! What are the best disciplines or methods that you have seen that helped you get to the next level? I.e., books, mentors, trainings, a day of learning built in to your work week, practice disciplines, etc.

I also want to AVOID burnout! Any thoughts on that would be fantastc. If I'm honest I'm close to that feeling of burnout at the close of my schooling/internship, so any advice is welcome!
