Reminder: sometimes it’s your brain, not the tattoo

You did your research; you found a great artist; you loved their design; you got tattooed; you loved it in the studio, then you get home and start to dislike it for no good reason.

If this is you, you need to trust your first impression because there’s a chance that your brain is freaking out over this strange new, permanent thing on your body. This can be especially true if there are no other tattoos near it.

Trust your first impression and give it time. There’s a good chance your brain will get used to it in a few months, and you’ll start loving it again.

If you have any perfectionist or neurotic tendencies, it’s even more important for you to wait. Your brain REALLY loves to pick things apart. Remember, there is no such thing as a perfect tattoo. Hope this helps.
