Honestly, I am Not Even Mad
A while back I had applied to be a wastewater operator for the city and earlier I get a response from supervisor of the plant asking me a couple questions about my submitted application. I told the supervisor my area of interest which is aquatic and wastewater pollution and I thought this position would be a great fit with my background and skills despite not having hands on experience in the wastewater industry. Well the supervisor thought otherwise and I was never invited for a interview but instead gave a explanation as to why. Even though I was kind of disappointed at least someone was brutally honest. I wish more employers gave non-generic feedback like this. As far as the mentioned position with TCEQ which is an environmental state agency, I was never selected and I’m just like at least give me a chance to interview.
