Guns should be the norm

This is America in the 80's or 90's, I'm not American but I know how plentiful it is over there and I imagine before the government made any attempts at cracking down on gun violence I understand most people owned firearms or had them in their trucks etc and that Walmart sold guns right of the shelf. I love this game its realistic for an isometric top show game and yet no bullets, I always set guns to common and ammunition to plentiful then just whack up the zombie count to high just feels more "real" for a survival game set at that time, any thoughts? How d you guys survive without access to lots of rounds ?
