How much seafood is safe during pregnancy?

I just had a weird interaction at my 16 week appointment. I told my provider I would be going to Maine for a babymoon and was really excited about eating seafood. She said I wasn't really supposed to eat seafood while pregnant.

I was totally thrown off. I thought I just had to avoid raw and high mercury fish. I tried to recover by saying "I just have to avoid the high toxin fish right? Stuff like lobster and crab should be okay?" Her response was to shrug and say 'have fun!'

My real question had been about whale watching on a potentially bouncy boat and she was totally fine with that.

So can I stuff my face with low-mercury seafood for 4 days on my trip or what? I am confused haha

Edit: Thanks for all the reassurance! Can't wait to eat some yummy lobster, crab, clams and more!!
