Legal Question: Can an Imam Stop Someone from Entering a Mosque Based on Their Sect?
I don't follow any sect, btw!
I was practicing Rafa Yadain according to Sunnah. And the Masjid's Imam stopped me from entering the mosque according to him, it will mislead other people.
I have a legal question regarding religious freedom in Pakistan. If an Imam or mosque administration prevents someone from entering the mosque because of their sect (firqa), is this a violation of their constitutional rights? Are there any laws in Pakistan that protect my right to enter a mosque regardless of my sect?
What legal actions can be taken in such cases, and what specific laws address this kind of discrimination in places of worship?
I’d appreciate any insights or experiences on this matter. Thanks in advance!
I have an audio recording of him saying if you keep practicing Rafa Yadain don't come to my Masjid.
Edit: He also called my practice of doing Rafa Yadain the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as "Makhiyan 🐝 Marna"
