Where to exchange or donate foreign coins?

Cleaning up my deceased fathers stuff and he had a bag full of European coins from his various travels - nothing rare or valuable as far as I can tell.

Does anyone know where I could either exchange or donate locally?

Edit - I did find online a place in Burlington (Currency for Kids - Children's Aid of Halton) that takes foreign currency for donation. May give that a try!
