Southern cross pricing

I'm on southern crosssl wellbeing 2. My annual policy updates in April, and I have just received the new pricing - an increase from $89 a fortnight to $109 a fortnight. That's a huge increase, surely these companies have to prove this % increase, and not just say, because you are getting older you will claim more... Is this pricing average? Im early 40's.
