Last minute places to take my fiance in Manchester this New Years Eve?

So we had planned to be in London during this NYE

But plans changed. What are some nice places we can go to (mostly for free or cheap if possible lol) ?

We're definitely going to see fireworks + booked a restaurant, but anywhere else to walk around? Especially in this weather!
