Belly and Conrad Just Don’t Have the Right Chemistry
After reading some posts on here about stuff from the books. I think a big reason to why I don’t like Belly and Conrad together is because they don’t have the right chemistry or the right tropes
Belly is in limerence with Conrad. She worships him for no reason really. It’s the trope of maybe he secretly likes her but it just doesn’t work
It would work in one of two ways
Have Conrad actually be nice to Belly. Maybe he’s a jerk and mean to everyone but Belly. Have him always be nice and kind to her
Instead of having Belly be infatuated with Conrad have them almost be rivals. They don’t get along but when Belly returns after her make over the tension is different
I still would probably ship her and Jere even if they did make the changes but at least then the relationship between her and Conrad would make sense
