Punch for $500 Billion: Would You Do It?
Out of nowhere, a genie appears before you. Instantly, all screens worldwide—TVs, phones, billboards—begin broadcasting a live feed of you and the genie. However, there is a 24-hour delay, meaning the entire world will see and hear your conversation, but only a day after it happens.
The genie makes you an offer: $500 billion. A life-changing, generational amount of money—so much that you could never realistically spend it all. You can use it however you want, in any form you choose. Whether it’s cash, gold, stocks, or even appearing magically in small amounts whenever you need it (e.g., $5 for a taxi now, or $5 million in five years), the money will always be available to you.
However, there is one condition: You must punch a baby.
Not just any baby, but the one you are emotionally closest to—a baby between 1 and 12 months old whom you love the most. This could be your own child, your sibling’s baby, your best friend’s child, your niece or nephew, or even your neighbor’s infant. You must find the baby yourself, go to them in person, and punch them with full force in the face. Given the strength required, the baby would almost certainly not survive.
After this act, you will receive the money instantly in any form you desire. However, law enforcement may pursue you for your actions. Whether you escape, fight the legal consequences, or use your wealth to evade them is up to you.
What do you do?
Would you take the deal? Why or why not?
(Edit: I know guys, it’s a fucked up psycho question, but here’s the thing: everyone always complains about how the questions in this subreddit are just about absurd amounts of money that most people would take. So, I offered an absurd amount of money for the most fucked up thing I could think of to test the limits. Let’s see where the line really is.)
