Finishing Basement - Considerations for AV setup

Hi All,

I'm knee deep in my basement renovation and I'm at the wiring stage for my future AVR setup. Here's my current supply list, and I'm wondering if I should consider anything else? Space is about 11x23.

  • 12/2 OFC CL2 Speaker wire (100 feet) for 5.2.2 Atmos setup
  • 3 Cat6 Punch Down Keystone Jacks (1 for tv, 1 for side wall, 1 to route down from upstairs router)
  • Low Voltage Mounting Brackets (various, HDMI brush plate, ethernet cables)
  • 1 CL2 2.1 15ft 4k@120hz HDMI to connect AVR to TV
  • Cat 6E 23 AWG CL3R
  • Legrand Pass & Seymour TV3LVKITWCC2 3 Gang Recessed TV Box

This is basically the items I thought of while the walls are open (finishing plates, etc will be later). One burning question is, what cables do you guy normally buy Tektubing for (e.g. ethernet, HDMI, speakers etc)?

Should i just get tektubing for the HDMI cables? I won't be here at this house long term, so fastening the speaker wires and ethernet for a "permanent" installation doesn't seem bad to me, although I know HDMI cables wear out quickly. Last question, vapor boxes. I used XPS pink panther foam boards and air sealed everything with foam/seal tape, so I don't expect much vapor to be exposed to the boxes, but was wondering if still recommended?

Thanks!
