Photos disappeared after transferring to locked folder

Hi everyone. I recently added a bunch of photos into the locked folder but upon opening the locked folder they're not there. They're also no longer in the phone's gallery or the camera roll of the Photos app.

I've used the locked folder in the past and it worked fine, not sure what this glitch could be.

Is there a way to search the phone's files or via a PC to see if the filenames still exist somewhere?
