BAM - MA in Criminal Justice - worth it?
I’m currently a crim major minoring in intelligence, and I’m in my third year. I’m currently interning with the government, and it looks like I’ll be guaranteed a conversion once I complete school. However, the conversion with undergrad is a GS-7, but with a masters degree it’s a GS-9. Obviously, I can reach a nine in my career regardless, but this would be automatic. However, I don’t feel as though an MA in Criminal Justice is all that worth it in the long run, it doesn’t seem like that competitive of a masters degree, and to be honest I’m starting to get to the point of just wanting to be done with school. I’d love to hear others opinions on whether or not it would be worthwhile, both for money and time. Thank you!
