WPS spreadsheets (new and old) ALL read only

I know it's not exactly excel but WPS doesn't have a subreddit so I hope I'm not too out of place.

I've always been using WPS office without an account, but just today I noticed that all my existing spreadsheets are read only, and not only that but even if I make a new one it is also read only! Do I really have to make an account just to keep using this part of the program?

Edit: just checked, it's the same problem with my word docs
