Waiting for RF version of this legend…

I own the EF 28-300 f3.5-5.6 IS USM L version and love it for its amazing focal range. But it’s over 20 years old and find that it can’t cope with the R5’s rapid frame rate and autofocus ability. It also weighs a ton and is a bugger to lug around as cabin luggage as a result of its weight. Hoping that with newer technology that Canon will bring out a replacement for this unicorn of a lens. Will be prepared to pay top $ - come on Canon, get cracking.
