Where to find BL/danmei novels written by US authors?

I was born in China and I started reading pirated danmei books and yaoi manga when I was about 12. When I was 14 I moved to the US. So I guess I somehow witnessed the boom of danmei’s popularity in China and saw it radiate to the West.

But the thing is, even back in China I wouldn’t say I liked BLs with traditional Chinese themes, like those about Wuxia or emperors, etc. so I never really enjoyed books like MDZS for the most part. I’m more drawn to gritty crime/politic/historical settings - I kid you not there are some really really good danmei novels in China that have those settings, but then Chinese gov censorship makes it never truly satisfying to read them.

I've read some English works on AO3 of that nature, but they are all fanfics. So it makes me wish more authors in the US would get into the niche that is original BL. I think there is so much potential here - themes like US politics, street gangs, the Old West, Wall Street elites etc, which would make such interesting stories but hard for Asia-born people to write about.

Recently though BL seems to be trending in pop culture, as seen in Heartstopper, Red, White & Royal Blue etc But too bad those simply aren't my type.

So my question is if you want to read a variety of original BLs in English, where do you find them? Do US or European writers post them online at the moment?

I know there’s an LGBT section on Wattpad. But Wattpad is such a generic site (I want to search by popular tropes, top or bottom character's archetypes etc.) Or you just search on Amazon kindle? Is there any website like jjwxc but in English?
