My BJJ professor is awesome but… he’s stupid?

Not a shit post.

I came to jiujitsu late in life after a long professional career in highly analytical fields. I often struggle with how limited my and others’ professors are at analyzing a question or grappling problem, which leads to shitty answers and lesson plans.

I guess my question is, how do you guys deal with that? How do you compensate? And are there people who are more analytical than others that you rely on?
