What to expect with hair

Our family is planning on getting a Bernese Mountain Dog/Great Pyrenees puppy at the end of January. We’ve had a dog before and she did shed, but we were able to shave her and that reduced the fluffs. Obviously can’t do that with this new pup, so we’re trying to prepare for all the fur 😆 We have three little kids, so we keep our house as tidy as we can with three tornadoes, but have also been warned about the hair. My sister is a dog groomer, so we do plan on having him groomed some. I wanted to know any tips, tricks, products, etc. that you have found to help manage! We do have thick carpet through most of the house, so I don’t think a robot vacuum will work
