Ponta da Ferraria thermal pool in the ocean - best time to visit during low tide or mid tide
I read a lot of reviews that recommend visiting Ponta da Ferraria thermal pool during low tide, in order to feel the hot water and for the safety (no big wave to knock you against the rocks.) But I also read on a travel guide that the water would be too hot during low tide. They recommend visiting during mid tide. I am guessing it means 2~3 hours before or after the low tide.
Has anyone been to the thermal pool at Ponta da Ferraria and can share your personal experience? The tide time changes every day but it can be found on the SpotAzores app. So I am looking for a definitive recommendation on the best time (x hours +/- low tide) to have the best experience of the thermal pool. By the way, to be clear, I am talking about the natural pool in the ocean, not the spa nearby.
