First time going—what do I need?

I’m really excited for this year con and I purchased a 4-day ticket to go with my friends. It is my first time going to an Anime Expo too. What do I most definitely need to bring and/or do before to prepare?

I also heard that the Anime Expo might be less this year like some sections are closed off but not sure if that was true?
