Is tomo-chan is a girl a show where they put gender norms on a pedestal?

Im looking for a new show to watch and thought about watching tomo-chan is a girl. but all i have heard about it is that its about a girl changing her personality to try and get with a guy while her friends pressure her even though she is uncomfortable. and that it doesnt really question these things. is this true? im nto intrested in a debate on if its good thing or not really just a yes or no pls.
