Most Men Would Marry Their AI Girlfriends If It Were Legal

As if the gender divide wasn't bad enough, a whopping 80% of men would consider marrying an AI girlfriend if it were legal... At least based on a survey conducted by EVA AI. If that's not weird enough, things somehow manage to get way more creepy when you consider that according to the same study, 78% of men reported that they would consider making a replica of their ex, and 75% said they'd be willing to make a "polished" replica of their current partner.

I can't but feel this has the potential for some borderline dangerous situations. Imagine an AI bro, creating an AI girlfriend with the appearance and speech patterns of a real woman. Couple that with some deep fake porn and his most twisted fantasies can be brought to life like never before. What happens if he meets that woman IRL? What happens when he realizes that he'll never be able to be with this person IRL? Is it healthy for companies to foster people's delusions like this?
