Recommendations for rest during COVID

I've seen a lot of recommendations from COVID-cautious pages to basically follow a severe concussion protocol if you get infected—complete bedrest in a dark room until you get better. Is there a consensus on if this would be at all helpful for avoiding neurological long COVID? I definitely would not plan on exercising or going out for a walk if I got infected, but I could see being totally sedentary being actively harmful if it leads to an increased risk of blood clots. (Scenarios where you experience fatigue as an acute symptom excluded)
