Can someone please explain the Jin hype?

Is it recency bias?? Like this man slept with Q and used his feelings to win a race. He bullied Dae and Min Ho when they were younger. He was homophobic towards Q while Jin was in the closet. Like how is this man better than Florian?? And why did Q forgive him so quickly. Florian cheated on a test because his parents divorce was distracting him. Like that's it. That's his crime. I don't get why everyone is shipping Jin higher.
