Question regarding Pell grant rollover?

Hey all - quick question I’m choosing to ask here because it’s too late today to contact my enrollment advisor & also there were 19 callers ahead of me for the financial aid department.

I have been awarded 6500 ish in financial aid as a Pell grant. This will obviously cover one full 6 month term for my RN-BSN.

My concern is I have 40 credit hours to complete aka 13 courses. I am worried that I may not have the time to get all 13 done in 6 months even though that is definitely my plan.

My dad is willing to cover the $2800 gap payment to ensure I have 12 months of financial coverage for school. But we also discussed the fact that first I try and see if 6 months completion is obtainable for me. He figures if I need the extra time after my first 6 months, we can just pay the $2800 out of pocket.

BUT - here is the MAIN question - would my federal Pell grant rollover to the next term of 6 months if needed? I’d have enough to cover part of the semester and pay the rest out of pocket if needed. I do NOT want or need a loan. I’m just worried if I say financial aid is my payer - they will allot me enough for one six month term and then that money disappears.

I just don’t want to dig myself in a financial hole here.
