Glock 19: Does it Matter?

Hey all, new to USPSA/competing and I know this gets asked occasionally, but how viable is a Glock 19 for carry optics?

Considering that some people run the 19x, 45, 47, and even 49 which all use what is essentially a 19 slide or recoil spring, would you really be at a disadvantage?

Is the recoil impulse that different, and when you’re shooting with an optic, would the length of a full length 47, 17, or 34 slide even help?

My hand doesn’t even extend past the end of the 19 grip so I don’t think a larger frame would benefit me at all.

Just looking for some opinions!
