US long term prep for climate change

I know many here are focused on getting through the next 2 years. For anyone who has the bandwidth to consider the longer term, this is an excellent article about climate change and housing in the US:

tldr: home values in a lot of areas may have already peaked. If part of your financial plan includes having home equity in the long run, you may not have as much as you think. Home insurance is already expensive but will become much more expensive over the next 30 years, particularly in risky areas. If you're a renter, rents are expected to move up in lock step with higher insurance rates. So this is relevant even if you don't own a home. If you're in a risky area, work on migrating to a lower risk area.

This is a long term prep for most people. Nonetheless, this is really important to think about and plan for.
