is my store dysfunctional? (inventory rant)

for context, my store is on the smaller side and we had about 35-40 people scanning this morning. we started scanning at 4 am and we weren’t able to open the store until we finished the sales floor (which was at 11 am). on top of it taking us 7 hours to scan the sales floor, we still had to scan all of the back stock in the back room (which was about 10 tables worth of clothes and 8 skates of shoes). after scanning all of this (and everyone taking a lunch) we finally were able to leave at 1:30! was anyone else’s inventory experience this bad or is my store just dysfunctional
