What made you want to remove your tattoo?

It seems most here are aiming for full removal, which raises the question in the title.

I'll go first...

For me, the desire to remove my tattoos came when I became a father, seeing my newborns flawless, delicate and beautiful skin for the first time changed my perspective entirely about body art.

Unfortunately both my parents have tattoos and never had this view so the trend continued with me and my siblings without any challenges or second thought.

A part of me wishes I didn't care, tattoos are so normal now that it doesn't really matter but I honestly can say that after becoming a parent and experiencing a love I'd never felt before I found a new love for my own skin and getting inked is a big regret.

I think anyone who is about to get a tattoo should be introduced to this forum first, we all think we won't regret it but it's so clear that for many that few hours getting inked has caused a hugely negative and costly impact on their lives.

So what about you? Why do you want to remove your ink? Do you plan on getting more or are you trying to get clear skin again?
