Which researchable Tech do you guys think should have already been researched by a FTL capable species?

One example: One of the first, if not the first, engineering tech that can be researched is "Nanomechanics", which I find weird since we are already well into Nanomechanics in 2024.

Even though we are very far away from even Near Lightspeed travel.
