who fucking wanted Min-Min for smash bros?

i don't consider any of the characters a "wasted slot", even unpopular characters like Terry, Byleth, and the aegis. but i just wanna ask, why was min-min added to smash? who wanted her? do people even play as her? did anybody even cared about ARMS? it not even like she a fun character to play as or to play against, she has one of the most boring gameplay out of any characters in the game, she literally does nothing but camp, and it’s insane I’m not even exaggerating. Unlike most zoners like Samus and Snake where their design are MEANT to actually interact with you at some point. Min min just exclusively camps, and her advantage state is literally just her camping but now she’s in center stage. i wouldn't care about min-min as much if she was a base roster character, but no. she stole the slot from characters that are more deserving to be in smash like Dante from dmc, the Skull Kid from Majora's Mask, Isaac from Golden Sun, etc. she is literally the smash bros equivalent of a industry plant. nobody gave a fuck about ARMS, but since it was a nintendo game, that means we "totally" needed a ARMS rep for smash.
