Charley's hellscape

Ok this has been driving me nuts ever since I saw Charley's hellscape. In season 1 Charley said he died of an allergic reaction due to an error on the schools part. He said it was the one day that the school cooked their fries in peanut oil, so why wasn't their a basket of fries. Why was their a vending machine that glowed red with packs of peanuts inside? I started to suspect that their might be a slight possibility that Charley purposely ate a pack of peanuts and that's how he died. I hope to God it's not true but I just can't seem to wrap my head around why their was a vending machine with peanuts instead of a basket of fries since that is what eventually did him in. Or at least thats what he told everyone. I might just be the only one looking too much into it but their has to be other people who noticed it too right?
