2025 United Airlines NYC Half Marathon- Chances?

Hello All!

I started running about a year ago now and have lost a lot of weight and running has really helped me find my purpose. While I am on this Journey and completing races closer to home, I went and signed up for Chicago, via charity, for next year :) While training and running before that time I want to train and do a half marathon first. I signed up for the NYC half, via not guaranteed entry, I am from DC, and would love to say I got to run in Chicago and NYC in my second year running. Since I am fundraising for Chicago, I just dont have the capacity to do it for another race which is closer. I am wondering how slim the chances are for a non guarantee entry? If they are very slim then my entry wont mean much and I can start looking towards other races such as Shamrock or Love Philly or something else! I would love to do this race, but understand that with the lottery system that I will likely be back of the que.
