Greger/Creatine

I recently listened to Greger’s Q&A and one of the listeners asked about creatine supplementation concerning muscle growth/ retention. Although Greger said he’s against protein powders (better to just eat the whole food) he said he recommends creatine due to its studied effects on helping with aging and longevity. I’ve recently started resistance training and was wondering if anyone else on here has taken creatine as an alternative to protein powders? If so have you had any benefits/ downsides? Thanks :)
