Help! Im worried about botulism.

The company responded saying they were fermented due to poor storage conditions at the store.

I opened a fresh new container of Grillo's Pickles, I noticed the top lid was bulging but that isn't always unusual for Grillo's pickles. But when I popped off the lid the brine was fizzing and I took a few bites of the pickle and it tasted fizzy and then I noticed it tasted a little off too. I'm so scared I'm going to die of botulism now. Please let me know if these pickles could grow botulism.
