I get paid 67k p.a.
..I am not sure if its on the low end or just about right.
Basically I am a cog for all these subgroups of the company;
- Operations
- Sales
- Training
- Admin
- Accounts
And when I say cog, I am the go to individual. Every question relating to something to the above, the first point of contact is me and there are managers for each of those categories above but, I may have set the expectation too high when I’m sorting shit out and now, here we are.
I haven’t had a pay review in two years. The most recent increase was 2k and there was no room for negotiation, just a here you go, congrats.
I am doing an account manager role right now but the title is just ‘sales person’ and it’s really bothering me.
I’m want to ask for a 20% increase but, then again I’m faced with a dilemma in my own head. Am I getting paid enough? Am I overthinking it? Or should I really ask for this raise because this is what I believe I should be getting? I checked whatsthesalary.com and key account managers get around 80k but thats on the higher end or is it?
I’m slightly getting annoyed that I think I am not getting compensated enough, but not entirely sure.
Sorry for the rant.
TLDR: I’ve been in my sales role for 4 years but I do so much more and I personally think I am not getting paid enough for it.
