How are your reflexes at age 27?

Bragging is not my intention here. I was just impressed by my reflexes recently and wanted to compare them to others in my age group. It has occurred to me lately that my reflexes might be above average, although I could be wrong. That’s why I’m here. Recently, I’ve started noticing this more as I age—or maybe it’s just that I’ve started dropping my phone a lot more.

This might sound silly, but I’ve mostly noticed it while catching things that are dropped accidentally—mostly my phone. For example, today I was working on my computer and placed my phone on my thigh, then forgot about it. As I finished my work and stood up, my phone fell, but before it hit the floor, I caught it between my feet, vertically. I know this might sound a bit cringe, but I didn’t know any other way to communicate it. This was just one of the instances; similar situations have occurred in the past, where I’ve either surprised myself or others who witnessed it.

Another similar example is when I was on a trip with friends. We stopped for something, and I don’t remember if it was my friend’s phone or mine, but it slipped out of hand. Before it touched the floor, I caught it, and my friend looked at me with his eyes wide open, staring at me frozen for a few seconds. That was one of the moments I realized this might be above average, just judging by his reaction. Before that, I thought this was normal. I don’t think this is some useful skill or superpower, but I’m just curious about it in the name of science.

There have been so many similar instances that I can’t remember, because they’re comparatively meaningless occurrences in my life that have happened multiple times, but I didn’t give them a second thought. It’s only recently that this thought has crossed my mind.
