Someone please tell me when daycare drop offs get easier 😭

LO is 11.5 months old and will be starting daycare full-time When he is 14 months. We decided to do a slow transition so he can get used his daycare provider and the space. He has been going for about a month now, just 2 to 3 hours between naps. Today is his first half day where he will be staying for a nap. The first couple of drop-offs were relatively painless, he is a very chill baby and was mostly just interested in the new environment.

However, now that he is beginning to figure out the routine he has been crying at drop off. Nothing too major, but still super heartbreaking! Everyone told me that the first drop off is the hardest, but I find that they are only getting harder! I know that he is being well cared for (he is the only kid currently enrolled at the daycare so he gets nothing but one-on-one attention) and he rarely continues crying once I leave but it is still so hard.

I'm so looking forward to the day when he starts to be excited to go to daycare. Please tell me when it got easier for you 😭
