I hate the Witcher 4 Trailer, not because of "Ugly Ciri" though...

In the best (and now supposedly canon) Ending for the Witcher 3, Geralt has a silver sword made for Ciri, called "Zirael" which is an exact replica of her steel sword she already owns. He then meets her in a Tavern, they have dialogue which alludes to the two of them having been on "the path" for a while now, doing witcher contracts together, he gifts her the sword, and calls her "Witcher" affectionately. The scene ends with Ciri saying "Let's try it out then" which hints that this is their life now, travelling the continent together as Father and Daughter.

Now...in the Trailer for the Witcher 4 we see Ciri, as a witcher, hunting and Killing a Monster.

This is fine, her being the protagonist is TO BE EXPECTED after the ending of Blood and Wine, in which Geralt is clearly retiring. This also answers the question as to where he is. Somewhere between TW3 and BaW Geralt and Ciri went separate ways, most likely because Geralt has taught her enough to do it on her own from that point onwards.

Secondly, her looks... she looks pretty much exactly how I would imagine Ciri to look as an older woman, she's probably around 40 at this point.

She's not "ugly" She's similar to Cassandra from Dragon Age Inquisition, sharp more masculine features, still hot AF though...

The real Issue I have is with Ciri seemingly being a "proper" Witcher now

she uses witcher signs, and has cat eyes, although they are green instead of yellow. And if it's not obvious enough... she drinks a witcher potion...

Completely ignoring that it's supposed to be impossible for Ciri to become a Witcher, since she's an adult and female... this would never have happened with the Characters we know from TW3

With everything we know about the Trial of the Grasses, how it essentially liquifies your insides, molds you anew, Geralt would never allow Ciri to undergo it.

If Geralt wasn't involved then that still means Ciri did something that she KNOWS is the last thing Geralt would want for her... nevermind Geralt even... VESEMIR... Vesemir

By becoming a witcher, she's betraying her Father AND Grandfather... and for what!?

She already has her Elder Blood teleportation powers... she doesn't need the witcher mutations to survive on the path...

Someone help me understand this...
