Legion 9i Gen 9 VMD Won't Stay Disabled

My brand new 9i Gen 9 arrived today. I got it on sale for $1,100 off, and while it wasn't configured exactly how I wanted it, I figured the sale itself made it worth it. One such specific configuration was that it came with 2 1TB SSDs in Raid 0. I figured that's fine, I'll just disable Raid in the BIOS and reinstall Windows, no problem.

Actually turns out it's a big problem. I have spent the last hour trying to figure out why the Intel VMD controller will not stay disabled. I can change other settings in the BIOS, save and restart, and those changes persist. But for some reason, no matter what, the VMD controller absolutely will not stay disabled. Every time I disable it, save and restart, when I re-enter the BIOS it has re-enabled itself.

The main reason I'm trying to do this is because I want 2 independent drives in Windows, and I'm just not a particularly big fan of Raid 0.

Does anybody have some insight or experience with this issue?
