IEM's or SHP9600

im wondering if i should opt for some IEM's or get the SHP9600's..

im generally looking for some comfortable headphones for gaming, for games like siege (letting me easily hear where/ what direction sounds are coming from, whilst still being able to enjoy high quality audio for music etc) whilst staying under $100.

ive never really used IEM's, so im not sure how comfortable they would really be in comparison to over ear headphones. ive currently got an old pair of steelseries arctis 3 headphones which are the most comfy thing ever.

what do you guys think?
