love spinning...don't love knitting. Any tips?

Hi all, I have fallen in love with spinning. I find it meditative and satisfying but I honestly don't love knitting/crochet. It feels putsy and I struggle with patterns then get frustrated that things a wonky. I wish I could like it but I just don't.

Anyone else feel this way? Any suggestions about affordable yarn hobbies to try out? I might enjoy weaving but the equipment is out of my price range, especially when I don't know I will enjoy it.
