Boycott Visit Rwanda

This isn’t about the transfer window, our Champions League campaign, or even our title charge. But it has everything to do with our values as Arsenal fans:

as we cheer and support our club, we cannot ignore the atrocities linked to one of its key sponsors: "Visit Rwanda". Rwanda’s government is backing the M23 rebel group, which just captured Goma, a major city in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Thousands have been killed, raped, or displaced in a war fueled by Rwanda’s ambition to control Congo’s rich mineral resources, minerals that power our phones, cars, and daily lives.

The UN, the U.S., and other global actors have condemned Rwanda’s involvement, but words are not enough.

Arsenal’s partnership with Visit Rwanda helps whitewash a regime funding terror. We, as fans, must demand the club drop this sponsor and boycott all merchandise featuring its logo.

I’m not expecting miracles by posting this. But, when my people are being slaughtered by a strategic partner of the club, staying silent isn’t an option. At the very least, awareness matters. We can’t just sit by and pretend it’s not happening.

I know that I won't be buying any shirt as long as that logo is still on them.
