I am a fake gamer girl

I’m a cosplayer and a gamer, and I have recently made a Lucy Maclean cosplay from the Fallout TV show. I really want to wear it to the next convention I go to, but I’m worried about being stopped by a convention goer and being blasted as a ‘fake fan’ since I’ve never played any of the Fallout games. Should I wear the jumpsuit? How should I deal with comments or questions if this comes up? Any advice would be appreciated. <3
