New to freeze dryers family of 6. Travel overlanding in a vehicle that dehydrating and freeze drying makes sense in addition to sports and other kids activities.

Most seem to have a candie mode - so that equals out.

Seems like if going big the Harvest Right is the way to go. Most pounds per year and best cost piont for the size. Some issues with customer service. Usa made

Large size is where the features seem to make it hard. Nice The Cube can plug into a circuit without needing to wire in a deticated one. Like the jar sealing feature and wifi. Usa made. Runs less pounds per year then others Blue Apline is nice in that it is 24 hr cycles. But it is assembled in Usa with parts sourced elsewhere (maybe the others are too but hard to tell).

So what are the things to look for in a freeze drier? I am leaning toward The Cube but talk me into it or out of it. Is there any discount codes? Other things to buy or know?

Someone said the Harvest one doesn't have common parts so the cooling part of it once it fails is almost impossible to repair outside of warranty. The Blue Alpine useds more common parts.
