first time omakase under $100?

hi all! i'm a big food person but have never had omakase before and would like to treat myself for my birthday next month - since i have no frame of context for what's good or not or even really what to look for, i'd love your recommendations for your favorite under $100 spots! i especially would love a spot where i'd be able to chat with the chef and watch how it's done.

(also if you have any absolute favorites over $100 i'd also consider them!)
