to keep blocked or unblock?

my ex and I recently broke up. Our last convo blew up in flames and we said we would speak at the end of the summer once things cooled down. shortly after, I saw that he blocked me. (His picture and status disappeared on what’s app.) So, I blocked him back. A few days later, I saw that he had unblocked me as his picture and status returned.

I’m trying to decide if I should unblock him back.

We broke up due to distance but we had a lot of love for each other. In the end, he was the one that was adamant about the relationship not being able to work out in the short term because neither of us could move to be with one another, and he was pretty pessimistic about the situation all together.

I don’t want to lose my summer hoping for a convo that may never come but this was the greatest love of my life.
