Switching from keppra to lamictal

Hi! Im just wobdering whats anybody's experience with switching from keppra to lamictal? I'm only recently diagnosed and get focal aware and focal unaware seizures, neurologist can't decide if it's temporal or frontal lobe yet. Lately I've been getting very dark thoughts and constant anxiety that I'm finding hard to deal with and I've been told its likely a keppra side effect. I'm very tempted to ask for the medication change but I'm a student and I'm afraid of getting brainfog from lamictal. Any stories or advice would be great, thank you ❤️
