FRM doesnt work. recode or replace?

Just got my e90 back from the vanos recall. ( they also replaced oil pan gasket 👀) Very happy with the recall except they told me my footwell module doesnt work anymore, they said it was coincedence that it happened in their hands. Anyways the headlights dont work, interior lights, windown dont go down, sunroof works though. Should I send it to ECU pro for a re-code ? or should I get a new one ? how do i know if it’s completely bricked
